Edo Poll: Take A Bow, Ovia North East APC Leaders Pledge Support To Sen. Okpebholo

It was more like a homecoming for All Progressives Congress, APC governorship aspirant, Senator Monday Okpebholo,  as the leadership of the party in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State asked him to take a bow in a clear demonstration of their support in clinching the party’s governorship ticket. 

Okpebholo,  in his continuation of consultation and lobbying ahead of the party’s primary slated for February 17th, 2024,  was warmly  received by members of entire wards executives  of the local government as they assured the National Assembly member of their support.

A leader of the party, Vincent Uwadia told the aspirant and his entourage that fillers from the power be indicated that Senator Monday Okpebholo will emerge the party’s candidate and eventually win the election. 

“Your message was very loud and clear. You will get to where you are going. Information reaching us shows that it is getting clearer. When you get there,  we want you to replicate what you have done in Esanland in Ovia North East.

Chairman of the party in the LGA, Hon Oscar Aghedo,  while welcoming the aspirant also used the occasion to thank him for the gift of a car to their son, Uduozie Ovisere, a physically challenged member of the party. 

Speaking earlier, Senator Okpebholo aka ‘ Akpakomiza’ while unveiling his 5 points agenda said if given the opportunity to occupy the seat of the state he would address the challenges of infrastructural decay, develop agriculture, provision of security and restore back the lost story of the state.

He said he decided embark on his philanthropic gestures when his only sister died many years ago as a result of contaminated water she drank. 

He said also promised carry leaders of the party along in decision making if he becomes the governor and appealed for their support in clinching the party’s ticket. 

The governorship hopeful also continued his visit to Ovia South West Local government in canvassing for party’s support.
